Safety Policy
Kayaking is potentially a high-risk recreational activity which can expose participants to known, unknown or unanticipated hazards and risks that could result in physical or emotional injury and, in extreme cases, death. However, most risks can be eliminated or at least minimised, by good planning, preparatory training, good Leadership, and effective management.
Adelaide Canoe Club (ACC) provides a variety of sea, flatwater, whitewater and canoe polo kayaking events for its members with emphasis on safety and minimization of the hazards and risks.
ACC operates in accordance with Paddle Australia Safety Guidelines accessible via following link: Safety Guidelines | Paddle Australia
